Digital Printing

Digital cameras are becoming increasingly popular, and their usage widespread. Users of digital cameras may wish to transfer their digital image onto a physical surface – in form of a photograph, on a t-shirt, key ring etc. The possibilities and options are endless. This process is known as digital printing. Digital printing allows printing without the use of film, by linking it directly to the electronic media on which the image is stored.

This method of printing has becoming increasingly popular, whether it is used in the home or in the office. It has become ideal for the use of brochures and other types of advertising medias as it is simple to manipulate the image, and again, fairly cheap to do so.

Companies have begun to offer services whereby member of the public can upload their pictures to be digitally printed onto greeting cards or gifts of sorts. Companies also offer digital printing of photographs at extremely low prices. It has become an extremely efficient and cost-effective way of printing as it is accessible to members of the public in high street stores and is complete in a matter of minutes, as opposed to hours when comparing it with the use of processing film from cameras. The quality of the image is also to a high standard.
